ABOUT US

Always at the heart of Say Paloma is a passion for story telling and creating. Founded in 2016, Say Paloma’s approach to design is in every way personal. Vintage Indian fabrics are personally and carefully selected and then handcrafted by highly skilled local artisans.

We create limited collections with sense, which are an antidote to the fast fashion industry. Our statement and signature pieces, are made with recycled and renewable natural materials, mixing bold shapes and edgy vibes with a colour palette that evokes bohemian femininity. We consider each of our designs to be a work of art. We produce 100% in the country of origin and are inspired by the traditions of the artisans & countries they are made in.

Our philosophy is simple. To create effortless silhouettes that fit well, last longer and can be worn by every woman.

 

MEET THE DESIGNER

Maria Stylianou graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design. During her degree she won a scholarship to the fashion institute of Milan and was selected for Graduate Fashion Week. After graduating she went onto a career with luxury fashion retailers, working as a Stylist for Harvey Nichols, Store Management for Whistles and a Luxury Buyer. Working in the fashion industry for many years, high prices & ethics inspired her to do better and follow her dream: The aim was to create a brand that would prioritise people and product quality.

“Ever since I was a child, I remember the excitement I felt when I happened to stumble across pebbles, shells and sticks on my childhood trips to Cyprus. As an avid treasure hunter, I collected these magnificent objects, which I kept as precious jewels. They had magical powers! My love of design and making was ignited from a young age by my family of creatives, a chef, jeweller, silk weaver, lace maker, professional musicians and dancers.” 

Inspiration for our collections are found from my extensive travels and my native Cypriot roots, every piece is unique and has a story.
